The event is wood bat with top two teams going to final on Sunday
evening—We will be using RSP Bats from Pro Bats as we did last
year. It is also a “play for the title” event which makes it a
load of fun. We get four games automatically but if we play the
way we can we can be in the final championship game Sunday
evening. We attended last fall and had a great time.
The format is a bit unique –I think you will find it interesting
· No 10 Run Rule
· Each game has a 2.5 hour time limit with no inning
starting after the 2.5 hr mark.
· DH and EH are permitted—EH can switch to field position
· Relief pitchers MUST come from the Bullpen—fielder can be
removed for bullpen warm-up
· Free substitution on defense---subs can re-enter
defensively only
· OFFENSE: only starters can re-enter in same batting spot
· CHAMPIONSHIP GAME—Played between the two teams with the
best record
Rules to determine the top two teams:
Tiebreakers:
1. Head to Head
2. Fewest runs against
3. Highest run differential ( runs scored minus runs allowed)
We are entered in this event for a number of reasons and they are
not necessarily in the order I have them listed:
1. Great competition
2. The event is in the heart of some great college territory
and covers all three NCAA Divisions
3. Great people running the event
4. An additional opportunity to play some more great
baseball—the more great competition you face the better you get.
Watch for the roster to be on this page a short time before we
attend.
As we do with all our trips we send out roster via email in
advance of the event to college coaches in the area and will set
up the entire situation for you if you wish so that you can
unofficially visit the campus of schools of your choice in the
area or you can do it on your own. Let the Division II and III
schools you have interest in know you will be playing here.
A
special note: this is during the time period when Division I
schools cannot evaluate players thus the Division II and III
programs will be out in heavy numbers to see the talent |
